Pierre Gentin is Global General Counsel of McKinsey & Company. He was previously a partner in the law firm of Cahill Gordon & Reindel, and a managing director at Credit Suisse in senior legal and risk positions. He also served in the U.S. Department of Justice as Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
Gentin is a trustee of the Practising Law Institute, the Touro Synagogue Foundation, and Princeton University’s Center for Public Policy and Finance. He has also served on many of the World Economic Forum’s global agenda councils.
Gentin co-edited a book on the mediation of complex financial services disputes. He has lectured for many years at law and business schools in both the U.S. and Europe, and currently teaches ethics at the Wharton School of Business. Gentin attended Princeton University and Columbia Law School.
