Former corporate lawyer Lisa Leong is the host of the ABC Radio National show “This Working Life.” She is also CEO of Ohten APAC, helping professional services firms develop deeper relationships with their strategic clients. Leong considers her superpowers to be curiosity, creativity, and delivering key messages by way of song.
Leong draws on her broadcasting experience combined with human-centered design and mindfulness practices to bring a fresh approach to intentional conversations, called “Empathy Interviewing.” Her work and unique approach have been the subject of a Harvard case study as well as her TEDx talk, “Can Robots Make Us More Human?”
Leong is a graduate of the Customer Focused Innovation Program, offered through a partnership between the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design, also known as d.school. Leong received her bachelor’s degree in science and law from the University of Melbourne, and studied radio broadcasting at the Australian Film Television and Radio School.
