Chris is a Director in the Hg Portfolio Team and also leads Hg’s Data Team. Acting as the value creation lead on investments, Chris partners with management teams to help accelerate EBITDA growth and deploy Hg’s portfolio support model.
In 2016 Chris began building Hg’s Data team, which seeks to deploy cutting edge data tech and data science to harness the potential of data and AI in Hg’s portfolio companies. Spanning on-shore and off-shore resource, and using proprietary tooling and templates, the team typically comprises 30+ data specialists at any one point, and have been active on over 20 engagements with the portfolio in the past year.
In addition, the data team is also seeking to innovate Hg’s own ways of working, bringing advanced data and tech skills to core processes, from deal sourcing through to deal appraisal.
Chris joined Hg from BCG in 2014 from their Digital and Tech team. Chris started his consulting career in macroeconomic modelling.
