Ralph Baxter joined the Intapp Board of Directors in 2021. He previously served as a Director of the Intapp operating subsidiary, Integration Appliance Inc., from 2016 to 2021.
A recognized leader in the legal profession, Baxter has become a prominent advocate for modernization across the professions and in financial services. He served as Chairman and CEO of global law firm Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe for nearly a quarter of a century, expanding and diversifying the firm’s practice, and launching transformative initiatives such as Orrick’s groundbreaking Global Operations Center in Wheeling, West Virginia and modernizing the firm’s talent and pricing models.
Baxter’s current focus includes advisory roles and board service with legal technology companies and innovative legal service providers. His public interest work includes positions on the Advisory Boards of the Centers on the Legal Profession at both Stanford Law School and Harvard Law School. He is also a Fellow at CodeX—The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics, and serves on the Leaders’ Council of the Legal Services Corporation.
Baxter received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and his J.D. from the University of Virginia. Before becoming a lawyer, he taught sixth grade at Scott Montgomery Elementary School in Washington, D.C.
