The Challenge
Prior to deploying DealCloud, the team at Denning & Company managed their data using a generic CRM. They found the generic CRM unintuitive, and the firm realized it needed a highly configurable software purpose-built for the complex business needs of venture capital and private equity dealmakers. Implementation

- Relationship management: The team at Denning & Company nurtures complex relationships with LPs, GPs, and potential investors. They leverage DealCloud’s Microsoft Outlook email integration to track interactions including cold emails, calls, and meetings.
- Reporting: The team at Denning & Company builds custom monthly and quarterly pipeline reports, fundraising pipeline reports, and meeting reports in DealCloud. The reports include data such as how many meetings they’ve held to date, how many emails they’ve sent on a client’s behalf, and other key metrics to provide their clients with a full scope of activity.
- Third-party data integration: Denning & Company uses DealCloud’s integrated third-party data management solution, DataCortex, to populate its records with verified data from PitchBook.
